Note 01
One council, two completely different briefs
City Beach and Floreat were laid out generously. Big lots, wide streets, houses set back, and a good deal of surviving 1950s and 60s architecture alongside modern rebuilds.
Wembley and West Leederville came earlier and tighter. Interwar bungalows and cottages on narrow lots, many with rear laneways, plenty of them subdivided or carrying a two-storey rear addition.
Jolimont and the Mount Claremont edge sit between the two, more mixed and more recently built in parts. The practical point is that Cambridge quotes are not transferable across the council.
